The Horrible Thngs You Should Know About Hair Extensions!

Lets face it! Long hair is gorgeous! And if you have short hair, sometimes it takes forever to for it to grow. The worst thing anyone can do it get glue in hair extensions! If you go to a salon or not! It does not matter, they ruin your hair!
Do you really want your hair to end up looking like this?

I have a few friends who went to a salon and got extensions like these. They looked really pretty at first, but after a while they start to get natty looking and they look like you have fried ends and when they are sectioned off like this they can break off. One of my very close friends paid a lot of money to get her hair done and after a month her hair started breaking off right at the root where the glue was. She has hardly any hair now!

If you want long hair fast just get the clip in extensions! now you can color them, straighten, curl or cut them! If you go to Sally's Beauty Supply they have so many different lenths and brands. Just ask an associate and they will give u all the advice you will need! Or you can use my personal favorite Jessica Simpsons Hairdo! They are just simple clips and u can curl and straighten them also!!!

If you love your hair, don't harm it with extensions! Love it and use the clips or you will end up with no hair!!!! If you have any more questions, just ask, I am more then willing to answer them and give more advice!!!

The Easy, Time Consuming Way to Straighten Your Hair

Ok so i have really curly hair and I prefer to wear it straight, but somedays it takes forever and it dries out and damages my hair really fast. Hear are some tips that i found to be heplful!

Always always always use some kind of heat protectanton your hair! it seriously hepls! I promise! I like to use Dove Heat Therapy shamoos and conditioners and the also have a heat protectant spray that i like to use. Spray the heat protectant through your hair very generously so it is kind of damp, it dries really fast.

Next to get your hair as straight as possible you will need to get a good flat iron. I like the brand hot tools found at Sally's Beauty Supply, the flat irons have adjustable heat for different hair types. make sure you use the right setting for your hair because u can litterally burn your hair right off!

I would invest in some duckbill clips, also found at Sally's, to section your hair off. It is a lot easier to straighten your hair in layers and skinny sections, this way all you have to do is go over the layer once and it should be pretty straight, instead of going over a thick section a few times which can fry your hair even faster. Sometimes the flat iron gets so hot that when your done straightening a section it is so hot when it touches your skin. It is also best to use a comb to brush the snarls out before you straighten a section too because that can also damage your strands as well. Keep sectioning your hair into thin layers and no matter what your length is it should only take you between 20 to 30 min and your hair should be silky, shiny and smooth!

How to do a Puurrrfect Cateye

So if you would like to have gorgeous winged out liner like Scarlett's just follow these steps.
  1. Apply your all over make up like usual and do you eye shadow as well .
  2.
Use a waterproof liguid eyeliner and apply the liner as close to your top lashes as possible. If you like it to be a little think u can make the line thicker, just be carful it doesn't come out looking like a raccoon eye. Then what I do is take my finger and follow the crease of my eye to the outer corner of my eye and i make a tiny dot. Then I start at the dot and swipe the brush of the liner to connect to the upper lash line.

This is what th 2nd step should look like

   3. Then apply the liner to your bottom lashes. Use and eyelash curler to curl your lashes, but dont just hold it, squeeze the curler and let go about 5 times then move to the tip of your lashes and do the same thing. Take a lenghthening mascara like Cover Girl's Lash Blast Fusion, which lenthens and thickens your lashes and then take a look in the mirror! if you would like to make your lashes look a little more dramatic you can add some falsies!

Do you have curly, frizzy hair and wish it was straight

I have insanely curly hair and I'm not a big fan of it! Sometimes it is nice because it gives me options, but i mostly like to wear it straight. I recently discovered Garnier Fructis Blow Dry Perfector. It isn't a straightning kit but it helps get your hair silky smooth when you blow dry it! It's a lot cheaper then actually getting your hair straightened and this way you don't have to use harsh products on your hair. It is a two step process that lasts for seven days and all you do is apply it to dry hair then rinse it out then apply the smoothing serum! it works awesome and i highly reccomend it

How to do "The Bump"

So you like the so called "Snooki" bump? Well here is a more classy way to do a bump. What you need as a teasing comb, which you can find at Sally's Beauty Supply, and a heavy duty hairspray, I like to use Rusk found at Target.section the top of your hair off into a square and brush all your hair forward to you start at the back of the top or your head. Section off a thin layer starting in back and hold it straight up and spray it well with hairpray the backcomb, or tease it. keep doing that till you get to the front of your head. you can either pull it back like Jessica above or if you like Tracy from Jerseylicious you can wear it down and part you bangs however you would like. Ether way is very popular. You can even puul your hair back into a ponytail, or what i like to do is curl my hair into really pretty waves and do my bump that way. and to top off the look you can do a smokey eye with cateyes and your ready to party for the night!

How To Get That Perfect Smokey Eye

Have you always wondered how everyone has that awesome smokey eye? Well i have some easy steps to try. You can use any color to do a smokey eye but most women use blacks and grays, and u want to use a shimmery shaddow instead of a glitter shaddow. I use L'Oreal hip shaddows because they are shimmery and they have a big variety of duo compacts.

The first step is to prime your eye lids. if u dont have an eyeshaddow primer u can just use an oil free concealer. After u prime your eyelids apply a neutral color to your whole eye, like a white or something that is close to your skintone, whichever u prefer is fine, from your brow bone to your lashes.

Second, line your entire Eye, top and bottom lashes, with eyeliner. I like to use NYC black eyeliner and the I go over the liner again with liquid eyeliner. Try to get as close to your lashes and possible. If you want to be really dramatic, you can do a cat eye! make sure that you soften the liner, you can use a Q-tip or if you have a shadow brush you can use that.

Third, apply the black shaddow. A Q-tip works best or if u have the sponge applicator that works well too. But only apply the black shaddow over the softened eyeliner. Then choose a brown or a gray or a combination of both. Apply the color with either the applicator or an eyeshadow brush, starting at the lash line and going to the crease of your lid, and ending directly under your brow bone. The basic effect will look like an oval when you close your eye.

Last take the black shaddow again and apply lightly to your bottom lashes, over the soften eyeliner you should have applied already. Then take the brown or gray shaddow and apply it over the the black kind of smudging it together, but be careful not to make it too thick or you will have a raccoon eye. Then grab your favorite mascarra and apply two or 3 coats to the top and at least two coats to the bottom lashes.

Congratulations! you should have a gorgeous smokey eye!

Want longer, fuller looking eyelashes without using falsies?

So let's face it ladies, false eyelashes suck! It takes about 10 times to try to apply them. Sometimes you put them on crooked, and the glue stays on your lashes for days and it starts to irritate your eyes. I have a few tips to make your lashes look longer and fuller without the hassle and at a reasonable price.

I would reccomend using Cover Girl Lash blast Mascara for any type of eyelashes you have! It has thick rubber like bristles that spread your lashes apart making them look thicker and they will not clump together. I have used all three and I love them all! But if you want them to look even longer I would apply a lenthening mascara such as Maybelline Lash Stilletto Mascara to just the tips and you will be amazed at hou gorgeous you lashes look!

This is what works best for me:
At the end of a long day of wearing a lot of makeup, take a wet warm soft washcloth and wash your face and gently wipe your eye make-up away. Make sure it is all gone and that you do not have any black circles around your eyes.
The next day when im putting on my makeup I always put my mascara on last! I'm not real big on wearing eye shaddow but when I do I still put mascara on last! I love my eyelash curler! Use one to curl your lashes and hold for about five to ten seconds. Take your mascara and apply it to the top of your lashes by pulling the brush down and kind of twisting it like you are curling your lashes upward. Then apply to the underside slowly and you can see how the rubber bristles will seperate and make your lashes look fuller. And then apply to your bottom lashes then do the other eye. If you would like them to look longer, apply the lengthening mascara to just the tips of your lashes but make sure that your lashes are dry from the first coat to avoid any clumping.

I hope it works for others as well as it works for me!!!
